Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

El Million recorded a loss on the court of Huellas on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Huellas 101-87. Huellas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to El Million's 38. Huellas forced 20 El Million turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 24-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas) fired 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. point guard Richard Bautista (187-97) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Roberto Tamarez produced 24 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Huellas is looking forward to face Los Prados in the next round. El Million will play against Mauricio Baez and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in . San Lazaro saved a 2-point victory on the road edging San Carlos 72-70 on Friday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: UMass) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Reyes contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jamaican-Canadian point guard Shaquille Keith (198-93, college: Cape Breton) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds for San Carlos. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. San Lazaro will play against Barias in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. San Carlos will play against Bameso and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Los Prados played at the court of Mauricio Baez. Mauricio Baez smashed Los Prados 87-62 on Thursday. Gerardo Suero stepped up and scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. At the losing side Anyeuri Castillo responded with 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mauricio Baez will meet El Million in the next round. Los Prados will play against Huellas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 1 winless Bameso lost to undefeated San Lazaro in a road game 62-68. Barias beat San Carlos at home 88-78.



San Lazaro - Bameso 68-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Bameso's road loss to San Lazaro 62-68. American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: UMass) nailed 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American-Puerto Rican swingman Justin Reyes (193-95, college: STAC) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four San Lazaro players scored in double figures. American forward Joan Duran (201, college: Campbellsville) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) added 16 points respectively for Bameso in the defeat. Bameso's coach Jose Mercedes rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Lazaro's next round opponent will be Barias and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bameso will play against San Carlos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) nailed 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Jose Fortuna (180-84) accounted for 7 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Elys Guzman (-82) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and Jamaican-Canadian point guard Shaquille Keith (198-93, college: Cape Breton) added 18 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for San Carlos in the defeat.
